EIPL 9/11 Memorial Groundbreaking Ceremony

Neighborhoods across Long Island dedicate memorials to educate the next generation about the events of September 11, 2001. The East Islip Chamber of Commerce 9/11 Memorial Project Groundbreaking Ceremony was held at the East Islip Library on September 10th, 2011, at 10:00 am.  The community gathered to remember, support and honor the men and women of our nation who sacrificed their lives for our freedom and security.  Remembered will be Fire, Police, Military and Civilians of our great nation, The United States of America. The memorial was officially unveiled on Memorial Day of 2012.

The website is dedicated to preserving the memories of WTC responders and those who witnessed the effects of the WTC disaster. It is a forum to learn about the human impacts from those who experienced it first-hand and a place for reflection and thoughtful discussion.
